SEMI-AUTOMATIC PISTOL. Cal. 7.65mm. S# 384391. Bbl. 3 7/8". vz.27 semi-automatic pistol, mfg. in Czechoslovakia at the CZ arsenal while under German occupation during WWII. The left side of the slide is marked with CZ's mfg. code "fnh", followed by the model and cal. designations with an eagle firing proof and the S# marked on the top rear of the slide. Right side of the frame is marked with an Eagle/WaA76 acceptance proof and the S#. Frame and slide exhibit a blue finish, with the trigger and hammer exhibiting a straw finish. Bbl. is polished in-the-white. Frame is mounted with a 1-piece checkered brown plastic CZ logo wraparound grip. Half-moon blade front sight with V-notch rear sight. All serialized parts are matching and include the frame and slide. MAGS: one 8-rd. with poorly fit replacement floorplate. CONDITION: metal components retain large amounts of their original arsenal blue finish, exhibiting areas of wear and thinning overall that show through to gray and brown patinas. Strawed components are very good, exhibiting light to mild wear and thinning overall. Mirror bore, exhibiting well-defined rifling throughout. Grip shows a few scattered superficial marks from handling and storage but otherwise remains sturdy and serviceable. PROVENANCE: from the estate collection of Charles Wagner. (24-4646/MLW).
