SEALED CHICKLET PACKS. 560 round brick. Remington Arms Company started marketing their revolutionary new “Rocket” ammunition in the mid 1950s. They are .22 Short loads with sintered iron projectiles, boasting a whopping muzzle velocity at over 1600 feet per second. They are in bricks containing 560 rounds, in 20 sealed “Chicklet Packs”, each containing 28 individual cartridges. The bricks are red, white & green cardboard packages, each acting as a counter display when properly folded. It is marked “Dispenser No. 54 / Contains 560 Rim Fire / No. 1222 Cartridges”. The top of each brick is marked as follows; “Hey Fellas, They’re NEW – Sensational! Remington “Rocket” 22 Shorts. MORE WHAM! – You can Hear their Power! MORE ZIP! – You can See their power!, MORE FUN! – They’re Loaded-To-The-Limit for power! 28 Rim Fire Cartridges. Remington. DuPont”. The colored brick is in a brown cardboard sleeve. Individual Chicklet packs are sealed in clear cellophane w/ a red pull tie to open them. Dupont packaging indicates this ammo is “Non-Corrosive” & “Made in the USA”. CONDITION: all chicklet packages are unopened, still in factory sealed cellophane. Colored brick pack doesn’t appear to have been folded into the display configuration and is unmarked in the ”price” area for dealers to have marked the retail pricing. Colors are still bright, appearing to have been stored in the original brown cardboard sleeve. Cardboard sleeves have some light staining & the only damage is a small tear approxiately 1/2".
