A good selection of both excavated and non-excavated cavalry spurs. A few appear to be US M1859-style spurs, but there is great variation and there may even be a confederate example or two in this group. Seven of the spurs are brass and five are iron. The iron examples are possibly civilian or were pressed into service during the war. A few examples appear to be post-Civil War. Please refer to photographs for details of the spurs. CONDITION: excavated spurs have an expected dark patina and most have rowels. Non-excavated spurs generally have a pleasing patina and all but one have rowels. (02-22824-2/BF). $400-700.
