1st third 20th Century, Royal Furniture Co. (1892-1931), Grand Rapids, Michigan. The set is comprised of a banquet table with 4 additional leaves, set of 8 carved walnut dining chairs, 2 arms and 4 sides. A two drawer server, and four door china cabinet with carved veneered bookend panels, and a large carved and veneered sideboard. Each piece beautifully carved with foliate scrolled fretwork, floral rosettes in the border, the drawers and doors all with matching bookend walnut veneers, and raised on deeply carved cabriole legs with foliate and bellflower carving. The table is 32 1/2" x 72" x 51 1/2" with four additional 11" leaves, two with full apron and carved frieze, and a pair of carved square central legs. The chairs with carved arms on incurved supports, each with Greek Key carved apron. The upholstered backs and seats in a middle eastern maroon and gold damasque fabric with elephant and trellis work motif. Armchairs are 43 1/2" x 27"; seat is 18 1/2" h. Side chairs are 42" x 26", seat is 18 1/2". The server fitted with a pair of long drawers with a central oval carved patera with floral and foliate cresting. Server is 36 1/2" x 52" x 23". The china cabinet with pierced foliate cresting above the foliate and floral carved frieze, over two pair of cupboard doors with bookend veneer panels and foliate and bellflower carved doors. The interior fixed with three long shelves. China cabinet is 74" x 55" x 15". The sideboard is fitted with a bank of two central doors flanked by panel cupboard drawers. Each door opens to an interior fitted with a bank of three campaign style drawers. The sideboard is 39" x 84" x 27". CONDITION: all pieces retain original surface. Upholstery appears original.
