A fine selection of both excavated and non-excavated cavalry spurs. Many appear to be US M1859-style spurs, but there is great variation and there may even be a confederate example or two in this group. 15 of the spurs are brass and two are iron. The iron examples are likely civilian or possibly officers’ spurs. There is significant variation in the rowels and some even appear hand-cut. Please refer to photographs for details of the spurs. CONDITION: excavated spurs have an expected dark patina and all have rowels, except for two. Non-excavated spurs generally have a pleasing patina and complete rowels. (02-22824-1/BF). $800-1,400.
