Cal. 577. NSN. Bbl. 39" w/ Birmingham proofs at rear & standard long range sight installed. Percussion lock w/ royal crown at rear is stamped 1863 & “TOWER” at center. Walnut stock extends to within 4" of muzzle w/ brass cap & attaches to bbl. w/ 3 split iron bands. Makers mark is stamped on right side of butt. Buttplate & triggerguard are brass & unmarked. A repro nipple protector is installed in rear sling loop, which holds a repro leather & canvas sling. Correct type steel ramrod is present. CONDITION: good, refinished. Bbl. cleaned to pewter gray. Lock is gray to brown patina. Stock retains nearly all of a dull oil finish & shows considerable wear. Bore is good, frosted throughout. Lock is operable. (01-19470/MGM). ANTIQUE. $500-800.
