Cal. 9mm Luger. S# 3900. Standard configuration with a 6" barrel dated "1917" on the receiver ring, left side of the frame, and left side of the front sight base. Pistol was produced in early 1917 and has no suffix letter as part of S#. Adjustable rear sight is milled into the rear toggle. Correct marine proofs are present. All numbers match, except for the sideplate, which is unnumbered, except for "7", which is on the interior. Grips are also unnumbered. PO8 type magazine is numbered "1470" with other markings "4.11" and "R" under a cross. MAG. 1 8rd. non-matching. CONDITION: fine, retaining about 70% of its original blue, with high edge wear and a good number of knicks and scratches; sideplate shows more wear. Small parts retain most of their very pale straw color. Grips show considerable wear. The bore is good, dark, and lightly pitted in the grooves. The upper left corner of the left grip is missing.
