Cal. 6.35mm. S# 81483. Bbl. 2”. These sm. pocket pistols were an extremely popular secondary sidearm amongst the German military & police forces after the German occupation of Czechoslovakia in 1939. While not issued to soldiers or the German forces, U.S. soldiers reported commonly finding them in the boots, pockets & helmets of captured & killed Germans. This interesting example is accompanied w/ a sm. slip of paper that looks like it was taken out of the funnies section of a newspaper some time ago w/ a hand written note “T/5 James M Carroll Co. B 129th Ord. MT. BN. A.PO. 257 New York, NY”. That was found inside the brown & black 2 tone holster. MAGS: 2 unmarked 6 rd blued mags. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: weather treated brown paper holster w/ black leather belt loop & strap. Sm. hand written note. CONDITION: overall very good metal finish w/ some thinning on the slide & high edges. Frame has a repaired braised line near trigger. Very good grips showing minor handling marks. Very good bright bore. Very nice paper holster w/ some handling marks. (20-3277/ZAL). CURIO. $400-600.
