WITH SCOPE. Cal. 375 H&H Mag. S# 44866. The 24" medium weight sporter barrel is fitted with screw on island base with folding leaf express rear sight. A front sight ramp with large gold bead and sling eye are banded on. Pre-war model 70 action is fitted with G&H scope base. Bolt body has been engine turned and bolt knob checkered. Engraved steel capped pistol grip stock made of very attractive fiddle figured and well marbled European walnut measures 14" over brown white line pad. Stock features swept right hand cheekpiece, swept ebony forend tip and a gold oval on toeline engraved "JMB". Attractive well cut checkering is borderless and has fleur-de-lis intrusions. It wraps around bottom of forend and over top of grip. Rifle is fitted with Redfield Bear Cub 2-3/4 x scope with crosshair and post reticle in alloy G&H rings. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: itemized receipt from Paul Jaeger Inc. July 18, 1966. Listing custom work done including new stock, barrel, sights, etc. for at total of $356.48 including tax. United Parcel Delivery was an additional $2.00. My how things have changed! CONDITION: very fine showing light use. Metal showing glossy blue overall with a few minor marks and slight silvering (possibly re-blued). Stock retains over 90% of its original oil finish with a fairly large number of light scratches and some dings mostly found on left side of butt. Checkering is lightly worn. Bore is bright and shiny throughout. Action is smooth. Scope is also fine; optically clear. (25-1526/MGM). CURIO. $3,000-4,000.
