Cal. 223. S# SP09273. Bbl. 20". Mfg. 1967. Pencil barrel marked "12" at 6 O'clock a few inches behind muzzle and marked "MP" on right side below gas block. Terminated w/ 3-prong flash hider. Protected post front sight / gas block / bayonet lug. 12" beavertail handguard secured w/ strait wall delta ring. Large front receiver pin. Dual aperture rear peep sight in carry handle. Currently sporting Colt 3x scope. Slab side lower receiver w/ no forward assist or brass deflector. Type 1 full length buttstock w/ solid rubber butt plate & type 1, two-piece sling swivel assembly. Type 1 Edgewater buffer. Dark bolt, marked "MP" rear of ejector. Type 3, SP1 bolt carrier w/ .38" strap at rear. No forward assist serrations. No notch cut above firing pin as in later models. Type 1 firing pin retained w/ standard Type 2 cotter pin. Black nylon sling. MAGS: 1 Type 1 aluminum 20 rd. w/ circle 1 stamp on left side & light colored floorplate marked; "COLT AR-15 / Cal. 223". CONDITION: Original finish complete & consistent w/ little sign of use in any capacity. Scope glass remains clear w/ a sharp reticle. Bright bore w/ strong rifling.
