PISTOL WITH TANGENT REAR SIGHT. Cal. 9mm Luger. S# 70C28302. Bbl. 4 5/8". High Power semi-automatic pistol mfg. in Belgium by Fabrique Nationale and imported by Browning Arms Company in 1970. The left side of the slide is marked with Browning's importer information above "MADE IN BELGIUM". Right side of the forward trigger guard web and right side of the 2-piece bbl. exhibit a single Belgian commercial proof. Metal components exhibit a black enamel finish that was applied above a phosphate finish overall, save for on the bbl., which is polished in-the-white. Frame is mounted with 2-piece checkered black synthetic grips. Slide features an external extractor, with a dovetailed blade front sight and V-notch tangent rear sight, graduated 50-500. MAGS: 1 unmarked 13-rd. mag., with phosphate body and blued button floorplate. CONDITION: excellent, with metal components retaining bountiful amounts of their original factory black enamel finish, exhibiting some spots of light edge wear, as well as some superficial handling marks overall. Brilliant mirror bore, exhibiting well defined rifling throughout. Grips show some superficial marks from handling and storage, but otherwise remain sturdy and serviceable. Mag. body exhibits some pitting, with the floorplate exhibiting surface oxidation overall. PROVENANCE: the Estate Collection of Charles Wagner. (25-387/MLW). CURIO. $1,000-1,500.
