FLINTLOCK KENTUCKY RIFLE BY JACK HAUGH. Cal. 50 rifled. NSN. Bbl. 44" full oct. signed "J Haugh". Hand forged unmarked flint lock. Stock is curly maple. One rnd. silver wrist inlay. Full engraved beveled brass sideplate. 2 Piece brass patchbox is nicely engraved & stock is relief carved forward & rear of cheekpiece, to rear of breech plug tang, forward of patchbox & around rear ramrod pipe. There is a brass plaque inside patchbox which testifies to fact this rifle was numbered "56" and made by J. Haugh in Indiana to commemorate the Pennsylvania Bicentennial. CONDITION: near new except patchbox release is broken or missing. PROVENANCE: Estate of Frank Glenn Marsh. (01-21269/RG). ANTIQUE. $2,500-3,500.
