Harpoon, about 7 1/2' overall, w/ 31" iron point w/ pivoting barb tip that will not come out once embedded. There is a looped rope attached w/ cord. / 2 Whales teeth w/ designs of Victorian figures. / Pipe made from whale bone & whales tooth, making the bowl w/ inset designs & scrimshawed deer. / 2 Carved rings & cut fragment from base of tooth w/ scrimshawed ship. / Tooth w/ cut base. / 3 Lg. pieces of baleen. CONDITION: good to very good overall, pipe is missing several of its inlays. Head of harpoon has iron patina. Teeth are 4-5" each w/ iron patina. PROVENANCE: Phillips Historical Society, Phillips ME. (02-13951/JS). $1,000-1,500.
