Overall length: 29”. Blade length: 23 1/2". This sword is likely Bavarian or German in origin and was possibly used by police or other law enforcement forces. Plain blade is slightly waisted near the hilt. Brass hilt with a plain guard and downturned quillon. 2 Branches meet the plain knuckle bow before entering the bird’s head style pommel. There is a brass ferrule below the leather grip. No scabbard. CONDITION: blade has a medium gray patina. Hilt has a very pleasing rich mustard patina. Grip is 100% but appears to be a re-wrap.
