TABLE. Late 19th century, France. This unusual example of triangular form with clear glass top and serpentine glass sides. The interior lined in lemon yellow silk fitted with a single plate glass shelf. Each side with gadrooned edges, the apron with carved floral banding. The case sides with three engaged half columns adorned with diagonal rows of floral garlands. The vitrine raised on three tapering fluted legs with block ends joined to three serpentine bell flower decorated stretchers with a central floral rosette, terminating and tapered ring-turned, ball-capped feet. SIZE: Display area is 38" h x 22" x 22". Interior height of display area is 17". CONDITION: very good, original surface. Very minor losses to some of the intricate gesso ornaments.
