1) Cherry gripped Revolutionary war era hanger from the collection of Andy Mowbray. “Identical specimens found in the wreck of Le Machault, sunk in 1760”. 34" Overall, 28" double-edged blade. CONDITION: very good overall, blade is gray w/ each inventory number & old sharpening. 2) American militia horseman’s sword, circa 1810, 33 1/2" overall, 29" slightly curved blade marked “ROSE” on top edge of blade at ricasso. Brass stirrup shaped grip w/ brass mounted leather scabbard. CONDITION: very good overall, grip retains most of its original leather, scabbard is sound w/ seam opening on reverse. PROVENANCE: From the Collection of John "Tim" Breth Jr. (02-13823, 02-13828/JS). $800-1,200.
