1) FAR EAST SWORD. Overall length: 26 1/4". Blade length: 17". This is an exceptionally decorative, early 20th century short sword, likely of Far East origin. The blade is decorated over 2/3 of its length w/ foliate motifs. The entire hilt & scabbard appear to be made from low grade silver w/ numerous black enamel & mother of pearl inlaid leaf shape designs. The hilt & body of the scabbard have foliate repousse work throughout. Scabbard suspension rings are both present. CONDITION: sword shows light overall wear & no notable damage & losses.
2) SHAMSHIR. Overall length: 24". Blade length: 19". A child’s size shamshir, likely of the 20th century. Plain flat blade w/ a cast metal classic shamshir hilt. Scabbard has highly decorate, plated brass mounts w/ what is likely a leather covered wooden scabbard. CONDITION: sword shows light overall wear as does the scabbard. Scabbard is missing minor areas of plating on the metal mounts.
3) MACE. Overall length: 14 3/4". A rather small mace in the shape of a fist on the end of a 2 3/4" brass neck fit into a wooden shaft. Shaft has been cut & it is impossible to determine how long it originally was. Fist at the end of the shaft is quite heavy & though small, could be effective. CONDITION: brass has a dark patina. Shaft has loss of finish & has been shortened. (02-16673-28/BF). $300-600.
