1) A nice Prussian M1889 folding guard Infantry Officer's sword measuring 35" overall with a 28 3/8" blade. The double fullered blade is marked at the ricasso "(knight's head) WKC". The gilded hilt has a folding guard, with a pierced Prussian eagle. Shaped wire wrapped composite grip and a plated scabbard. CONDITION: blade shows substantial original factory polish. Hilt and scabbard generally show light wear with a few oxidation spots on the eagle and knuckle bow. 2) A very fine German Artillery Officer's sword measuring 34 3/4" overall with a 28 1/2" blade. The single fullered blade is undecorated. The gilded hilt is highly embellished throughout with crossed cannons on one of the langets. The well articulated lion head pommel has "ruby" eyes. Shaped wire wrapped composite grip and a black enameled scabbard. CONDITION: blade shows light wear but could stand a cleaning. Hilt exhibits light wear. Scabbard has the majority of the finish intact. (02-25013/BF). $300-600.
