RIFLES. ALL: Cal. 22 LR. Bbl 23". Model 165 "Leatherneck" semi-automatic rifles manufactured by Harrington & Richardson. The left side of the bbls. are marked " "LEATHERNECK" " over the model and cal. designations. Top of receivers exhibits H&R's address, with the serial number on the left. 1) S# 6728. The right side of the bbl. exhibits an unusual "SAMPLE AS OF OCT 18 46" stamp, possibly indicating use as a military or commercial sales sample. Metal components exhibit a blued finish. 1 piece wood buttstock with black plastic trigger guard (front trigger guard screw is missing). Ramped blade front sight with side mounted adjustable aperture rear sight. Magazine release extension is not present. MAGS: 1 10 rnd. CONDITION: metal components exhibit heavy wear overall, with the balance retaining an even brown patina overall, showing some concentrated spots of mild pitting. Mirror bore, exhibiting well defined rifling throughout. Stock exhibits scattered marks and minor impressions from storage and handling, with a light crack on the left side of the wrist stemming from the trigger guard. Buttplate is broken just above the bottom screw. (23-4715/MLW). 2) S# 1510. Bbl 23". Blued finish with 1 piece plain wood buttstock. Aluminum trigger guard (both trigger guard screws are not present). Ramped blade front sight, with Redfield adjustable aperture rear sight. Buttplate is not present. MAGS: 1 aftermarket 20 rnd. CONDITION: metal components retain good amounts of their original factory blue finish, exhibiting wear and thinning overall that shows through to a brown patina, with some scattered spots of oxidation. Mirror bore, exhibiting well defined rifling throughout. Stock shows some scattered marks from handling and storage, but otherwise is very good overall. (23-4718/MLW). ALL CURIO. $300-500.
