1) Overall length: 41”. Blade length: 28 1/4". Blade has a slightly irregular hamon with a silver-plated, linearly embellished habaki. There are four seppa above and below the four-cherry blossom, pierced tsuba. The nakago has a single mekugi-ana and shows no apparent signature. The tsuka has matching fuchi and kabuto-gane that features a silver mon on the top that resembles a turnip. White same covered with brown tsuka-ito and gold-plated three cherry blossom menuki on each side. Dark brown painted saya with gilded bronze mounts. CONDITION: blade has a good polish, but there are several nicks to the edge. The tsuka and saya show light wear. 2) Overall length: 37”. Blade length: 24 1/4". Blade has a straight hamon with a brass habaki. There are two seppa above and below the four-cherry blossom tsuba. The nakago has a single mekugi-ana and a 4-character signature on one side with four red-painted hash marks. The tsuka has matching fuchi and kabuto-gane. Brown tsuka-ito over white sanded paper with gold-plated three-cherry blossom menuki on each side. Wooden saya with brown leather cover. CONDITION: blade has a very fine polish. Tsuka is complete but would benefit from rewrapping existing tsuka-ito. Saya shows light wear. (02-23071-2/BF). $800-1,200.
