This varied group consists of 1 French M1842 saber bayonet with no scabbard and a broken spring. / 1 French M1866 saber bayonet with scabbard. Bayonet is in fine lightly used condition. / 4 US late 19th century Masonic swords. All swords have scabbards and are fully intact. / 1 US M1852 Naval officers sword dating from the 20th century. Sword is complete but is quite dirty and may have been through a fire. / 1 Non-regulation M1872 US Cavalry officers style sword. Sword has inspectors marks at the ricasso, however the entire sword was plated in the period and the grip is metal created to emulate sharkskin. / 1 British or Scottish basket hilt broadsword. Blade is decorated throughout with thistles and is marked "F.E. & J.R. HOPKINSON LTD. CUTLER EST. A.D. 1700 SHEFFIELD ENGLAND." Brass full-basket guard with pierced hearts throughout. Heavy red flannel liner. Leather covered grip. No scabbard. / 1 British infantry officers sword marked "HARVEY" on the blade. Brass 4-slot guard with lobed pommel and multifaceted pommel nut. Reeded wood grip. Improper wooden scabbard. CONDITION: all items show light to moderate wear except as noted above. One of the Masonic swords has a heavily oxidized exterior.
