1) F.W. HOLLER. This dagger is maker marked on the obverse. It has a relief carved oak leaf quillon that is appropriate for Holler. The pommel is a fine detailed pebbled background WKC with two downward acorns. Some companies procured some parts from other companies. White trolon/celluloid grip with aluminum twist wire wrap. Correct style scabbard with single flush center placed screw retaining the natural steel colored throat. The scabbard body is contrasting darker finish with it appearing that the throat was installed after the airplane grey finishing process. This is found on many known Holler examples. CONDITION: overall fair. The blade has some mottling and rub marks with a small ding in the edge. The ferrule has heavy oxidation. Guard and pommel are fine. The grip has some chipping and handling marks. Scabbard shows some discoloration and minor denting. 2) UNMARKED. It has relief carved oakleaves on the quillon.. The pommel is in WKC style with stippled with background and two downward facing acorns. The grip is made of a trulon/celluloid wrapped wood base. It is missing one of the twist wire wraps. Scabbard is of late war construction with a press fastened throat with no retention screws. CONDITION: overall fair. Blade has some freckled oxidation and scabbard rubs. Grip ferrule has light oxidation. Guard and pommel show scattered handling marks. Grip has cracks present with some chips. It is missing one of the grip wires. Scabbard has some scattered discoloration, dents, and some moderate dings. (02-27005/ZAL). NON-GUN. $500-800.
