BOTH: cal. 45-70. Bbls. 32 5/8". 1) S# 396428. Replacement brass blade front sight. Rear sight is removed. Replacement 1873 dated low arch breech block. Band fastened walnut stock w/ 1882 dated cartouche & slotted tipped ramrod. Peak of buttplate stamped "L/91". UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: US marked triangular bayonet w/ scabbard & frog. Bayonet retains 80% fading blue w/ areas of surface corrosion. Scabbard has heavily corroded appearance. CONDITION: metal parts have a mottle gray brown patina. Stock has worn finish showing numerous dents & handling marks w/ crack extending from left side of buttplate. Bore is generally bright retaining intact rifling. (01-18906/DS). 2) S# 383564. Pinned blade front sight w/ Buffington rear sight. 1884 Dated low arch breech block. 2 Band walnut stock w/ iron fittings & slotted tipped ramrod. CONDITION: blue is fading to a heavy brown patina. Stock has dark worn finish showing numerous dents & marks having crack extending from rear of lockplate. Bore is generally bright w/ sound rifling. (01-18907/DS). BOTH ANTIQUE. $700-1,000.
