ROOSEVELT. 1) HOOVER. The letter itself measures approximately 9” x 7”. The heading at the top, printed in black, reads “THE WHITE HOUSE WASHINGTON”. The letter is dated October 23, 1930 and appears to thank a gentleman named F.W. Hartford of Portsmouth, New Hampshire for a telegram discussing the Emergency Unemployment Committee. The letter is boldly signed “Herbert Hoover”. CONDITION: the letter is partially glued to a backing paper at the very top of the sheet and shows very light wear with nearly no discoloration. The typed sections are very clear and the signature remains strong. 2) ROOSEVELT. The letter itself measures approximately 9” x 7”. The heading at the top, printed in black, reads “THE WHITE HOUSE WASHINGTON”. The letter is dated August 10, 1933 and appears to thank a gentleman named F.W. Hartford of Portsmouth, New Hampshire for books sent to the Ship Amberjack for use by the President. The letter is boldly signed “Franklin D Roosevelt”. CONDITION: the letter is partially glued to a backing paper at the very top of the sheet and shows very light wear with nearly no discoloration.
