1) MARINE. A late 20th century version of the M1850 foot officer’s sword worn by Marine NCOs. Overall length: 37”. Blade length: 29 3/4". Blade is etched over 17” of its length with various foliate, patriotic, and marine devices, including a panel that reads “Cpl. D. Z. Dillon Msg Munich”. Gold-plated hilt with wire-wrapped black leather grip. Leather-covered scabbard with gold-plated throat and drag. Sword is complete with its felt-lined leatherette carrying case. CONDITION: sword shows very light wear overall. 2) NAVY. A rather poor reproduction of a Civil War era naval officer’s sword measuring 36 1/2" overall with a 28 1/4" blade. Blade has cast-in decoration that includes foliate and naval devices. Gold-plated hilt with wire-wrapped faux leather grip. Faux leather-covered scabbard with gilded throat and drag.
