1) A circa 1900 period personalized M1852 Navy officer's sword measuring 35" overall with an etched 29" blade. Etching includes military, naval and foliate motifs along with a panel that read "G. F. WILSON". The ricasso is marked "ROSENFELD BROS. BALTIMORE M.D.". Gilded brass hilt with "USN" on the underside of the guard and an attached sword knot. Wire wrapped white shark skin grip. Gilded brass mounted leather scabbard with embellished mounts. Mounts have engraved oak leaf decoration along with a fouled anchor and owner's initials at the top of the throat. CONDITION: blade has substantial original factory polish. Hilt shows general light to moderate wear. Scabbard is heavily tarnished with notable scuffs to the leather. 2) US M1902 saber for all officers measuring 39" overall with an etched 31 3/4" blade. Etching includes military, patriotic, and foliate motifs and the ricasso is etched "MORGAN PUHL & MORRIS DETROIT, MICH,". Plated 3-branch hilt with a shaped horn grip. Plated scabbard with leather hangers. CONDITION: light wear overall with light oxidation to the scabbard. Hangers show moderate wear. (02-25439/BF). NON-GUN. $400-600.
