1) SMITH CORONA 03-A3. Cal. 30-06. S#4802837. Bbl. 24", marked behind front sight “SC” “flaming bomb” “10-43”. Rear sight has been replaced by Lyman 48 aperture rear sight w/ target knobs. Slide is graduated to 60 points. Original front sight replaced w/ Lyman target front sight w/ interchangeable inserts. Aperture insert is present in sight. Bolt has correct scalloped sleeve. Bolt marked “R”. All stamped furniture including correct lg. bow trigger guard & checkered trap buttplate. Walnut stock set. Buttstock marked on left side w/ boxed “FJA”. (Crossed cannons), marked under grip w/ encircled “P” & “K”. Assembly numbers stamped ahead of trigger guard. CONDITION: stock has lg. percentage of original finish w/ moderate wear, staining & handling marks. Metal has 75% original blue & parkerized finish w/ light wear & scattered scratches. Markings have been enhanced in white. Near excellent, shiny bore. (21-428/RW). MODERN. 2) REMINGTON 1903 A-3. Cal. 30-06. S#3526900. Bbl. 24”, marked behind front sight w/ “RA” “(flaming bomb)” “3-43”. Adj. aperture rear sight. Blade front sight w/ protective hood. Hood marked w/ “U.S.” & “(flaming bomb)”. All visible parts markings are “R” except sm. bow trigger guard is “Smith Corona”. All stamped furniture except smooth, milled buttplate. Replacement walnut stock set w/ scant grip buttstock. Marked on left side w/ boxed “OG”& under pistol grip w/ “P”. CONDITION: stock set has nice original finish w/ light wear & handling marks & notable scattered fine scratches on buttstock. Metal has 90% arsenal rework type parkerization. Fair, worn bore turning dark in grooves. (21-445/RW). CURIO. $900-1,400.
