"U.S. MILITARY HOLSTERS AND RELATED ACCOUTREMENTS" BY EDWARD SCOTT MEADOWS. "The Mills Company referred to this holster as the U.S. Marine Corps Model because it was submitted to that branch for testing in 1913". Many were privately purchased. Each holster is of a heavy waterproof fabric with hangar for Mills pistol belt. Tip has metal protective tip. 1) PICTURED RIGHT HANDED OLIVE DRAB 1944 DATED. This holster is pictured on page 585 of "U.S. MILITARY HOLSTERS AND RELATED ACCOUTREMENTS" by Edward Scott Meadows. 2) LEFT HANDED KHAKI 1915 DATED. CONDITION: each holster in very good condition showing wear to paint on protective tip, showing light wear & a couple of stain spots. PROVENANCE: The Collection of Edward Scott Meadows.
