2) CAPTURED CHICOM SKS. Cal. 7.62x39. S# 10059467. Bbl. 20.5". Mfg. 1965. A unique find w/ complete documentation. This is an official War Trophy that was liberated from Vietnam after September 17,1970, & exported to the USA from Tan Son Nhut Air Base. Included is the original form DD603-1, War Trophy Registration as authorized to SFC E-7 Dwight E. Conrad. Chicom manufactured SKS bearing the "Triangle 26" factory mark. These guns were the primary infantry weapon of the People's Liberation Army (PLA) & could be found in numerous places on both side of the war. Spike bayonet which matches stock inlet. Hooded post front sight w/ rear tangent sight marked out to 1000m. Stained, tan canvas sling. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: original War Trophy Registration / Authorization (DD603-1), CONDITION: finish on exposed metal surfaces is quite complete & consistent w/ most thinning in areas of mechanical intervention. Bayonet locks tightly in both open & closed positions. Stock possesses numerous typical impressions throughout. Stock trapdoor still retains cylindrical cleaning kit behind flat steel buttplate. Bore remains surprisingly shiny w/ good rifling. Fire control mechanism appears to function correctly when cycled by hand. (23-111/JZ). CURIO.

Butt plate cracked, missing lower 1/4. Bores are surprisingly bright but possess spots of internal pitting on close inspection. PROVENANCE: From the Lifelong Collection of Glen E. Mattox. (23-112/JZ). CURIO.$600-900.
