1) M1916. A standard M1916 German steel helmet with a dark brown/gray-painted finish. There is an interior stamping on the left side that reads “N.J.6”. There is no liner, chinstrap, or band. CONDITION: exterior finish is about 85%. There is one chinstrap lug missing. 2) M1916. A very attractive camouflage-painted WWI German steel helmet. Camouflage consists of green and brown patches separated by black borders. The helmet is stamped on the interior left “G62”, and there appears to be a name in black paint at the inside rear of the helmet that has mostly worn away. There is no chinstrap, but the lugs and chinstrap end buckles are present. Helmet has a full band and a 3-pad liner. CONDITION: camouflage paint is about 80%. Liner pads are dry, with some splits and minor losses. (02-22734-5/BF). $500-700.
