1) SA. Overall length: 14 1/2". Blade is etched “Alles fur Deutschland”, and is marked on the opposite side “FRIEDR. AUG. SCHMITZ (drums) SOLINGEN”. Nickel silver crossguard & pommel guard. The crossguard is stamped “Wf”. Wood grip w/ nickel silver eagle & brown enameled “SA” button. Brown anodized scabbard w/ nickel silver mounts. Original hanger attached. CONDITION: blade has spotty staining. Hilt shows light wear. Scabbard finish is about 85%. Hanger shows light wear. 2) ARMY. Overall length: 15 5/8”. Blade is marked “F.W. HOLLER (thermometer) SOLINGEN”. Plated eagle crossguard w/ oak leaf embellished pommel & ferrule. Off-white colored composite grip. Plated scabbard. CONDITION: blade shows scattered staining. Crossguard has heavy oxidation, as does the pommel & ferrule. Grip is complete but stained. Scabbard shows significant oxidation w/ 20% finish remaining. (02-21219/BF). $500-700.
