1) LUFTWAFFE DAGGER. Overall length: 17”. This 2nd model Luftwaffe dagger has a plain blade marked on the reverse: “(puma head) PUMA SOLINGEN." Aluminum eagle crossguard and melon-shaped pommel. Iron ferrule with oak leaf decorations. Aluminum wire-wrapped cream-colored grip. Plated scabbard. CONDITION: blade shows some original factory polish with light scabbard wear. Hilt shows light overall wear. Scabbard remains solid but has some loss of finish. 2) POLICE BAYONET. Overall length: 19 1/4". A fine police dress bayonet with a plain, single-fullered blade marked on one side “AC (scale) S” and “ALEXANDER COPPEL AC (scale) S SOLINGEN” on the other. The crossguard is embellished with oak leaves and has an upturned quillon. There is a stamp on the reverse that reads “S.Kg. 1141.” Nickel-silver pommel in the shape of an eagle’s head. A two-piece antler grip is attached with two aluminum pins and features an aluminum police eagle on one side. Scabbard has a plated mount with a dark brown leather body. The top mount has the same number as the bayonet crossguard. CONDITION: blade has an excellent polish, and the remainder of the bayonet shows light wear. (02-21852/BF). $600-900.
