1) LUFTWAFFE. A Luftwaffe flak artillery visor cap for an enlisted man. Cap has a gray wool crown with a black band. The entire hat is piped in bright red. A metal Luftwaffe eagle is at the front of the crown with a Luftwaffe winged wreath at the front of the band. Black leather chinstrap with black side buttons. Black bound visor with green underside. Light brown sweatband with gray & blue liner. There is a small diamond shaped sweat shield with a black edge. CONDITION: hat shows use, but only slight moth damage to the piping. Insignia shows light wear and the chinstrap appears to have a bit of heat damage. Interior shows sweat stains.
2) ARMY. A WWII German Army winter cold weather rabbit fur hat. Body of the hat is sage green wool with rabbit fur earflaps, along with front & back flaps. The front flap has a sewn trapezoidal Army eagle on green with cockade below. The quilted rayon liner has stamps that have become illegible with time. CONDITION: hat remains quite solid. Fur is shedding a bit, but remains clean & soft. (02-17962-2/BF). $600-900.
