1) ARMY. This German M1935 battle helmet was struck in the front by a bullet or shrapnel that, apparently, did not fully penetrate the helmet. The helmet has a dark gray painted finish with no apparent decals. The interior left appears to be stamped "ET66." The interior rear stamping is illegible. Stampings are difficult to read due to multiple layers of original paint. Tan liner is complete. The chinstrap is present but missing the last inch or two of the long strap. CONDITION: helmet is well worn, with approx. 60% of its finish remaining. 2) POLICE. A civil model, curved dip helmet with a black painted finish. The left side has a police decal, and the right side has a party decal. Brown leather interior liner with cream-colored crowned pad. The original chinstrap is broken near the tip. CONDITION: finish is approx. 80%. The police decal is 80%, and the party decal is 60%. The liner is strong. (02-21874/BF). $600-900.
