1) ART EXHIBITION. This poster has a sight size of approx. 19 3/4" x 15 3/4", and its frame measures 25 3/4" x 21 1/2". The poster depicts a helmeted ancient Greek soldier’s head, a torch, and an NSDAP political eagle. Below are the words “GROSSE DEUTSCHE KUNSTAUSSTELLUNG 42”. The poster is monochromatic with dark brown ink on ivory white. CONDITION: poster has losses in the upper left-hand corner and lower right-hand corner with very minor losses in upper right-hand corner and lower left-hand corner. There is a 2” tear in the center top and a partial separation due to folding 4 1/2" up from the base. The poster has not been examined out of the frame. 2) ART PRINT. Sight size of the print is approx. 17 3/4" x 13”, and the frame is size is 23 1/2" x 18 3/4". The art print depicts 9 German soldiers making an amphibious landing on destroyed fortifications. It is a polychromatic print titled “WILHELM SAUTER, UBERGANG AM OBERRHEIN 1940”. The lower edge of the print reads “GROSSE DEUTSCHE KUNSTAUSSTELLUNG 1942 IM HAUS DER DEUTSCHEN KUNST”. CONDITION: print is sharp and quite impactful. There is a small loss at the base, not affecting the text or the print, and one tiny water stain in the same area. (02-19767/BF). $200-300.
