1) WWII German Army saber measuring 38 1/8" overall with a 32 1/4" plain blade. The blade has a single medium fuller and is marked on the ricasso "WMW WAFFEN". Gilded brass hilt with an eagle and party symbol on the front languet. The pommel features a lion's head with "ruby" eyes, and the grip is wire wrapped black composite material. Black enameled metal scabbard. Attached to the hilt, with a brass chain, is a War Merit Cross without swords. CONDITION: light wear overall with some oxidation spots on the blade. 2) WWII German Army saber measuring 38" overall with a 32" plain blade. The blade has a single medium fuller and is marked on the ricasso "ORIGINAL (squirrel) Eickhorn SOLINGEN". Gilded brass hilt with an eagle and party symbol on the front languet. The pommel features a lion's head with "ruby" eyes, and the grip is wire wrapped black composite material. Black enameled metal scabbard. CONDITION: light wear to the blade and moderate wear elsewhere. Hilt shows oxidation as does the scabbard. (02-24098/BF). NON-GUN. $500-800.
