BADGE. This lot contains items of questionable authenticity that may be of post-WWII manufacture. We encourage interested parties to examine items in this lot closely and in person, if possible. Preview times are available upon request. 1) AIR GUNNER. A cased example of a WWII German Luftwaffe Air Gunner’s Badge with lightning. The face has a vaulted oak leaf and laurel leaf wreath with a party symbol at the base. The center has a gilded diving eagle grasping lightning bolts. The reverse has a narrow pin and rivet construction. The back of the eagle is stamped “C.E. JUNCKER BERLIN SW”. This badge includes its black presentation box with gold embossing and two small stickpins depicting the badge. (02-22497/BF). 2) PILOT’S BADGE. A cased example of a WWII-style German combined Pilot’s and Observer’s Badge of the 2nd model. Badge has an oak leaf and laurel leaf wreath with a central eagle in flight grasping a party symbol. The reverse has a narrow pin and shows rivet construction. The back of the eagle is stamped “JMME”. The badge is housed in its black presentation box with gold lettering. (02-22498/BF). 3) PARATROOPER BADGE. A WWII German-style Army Paratrooper Badge with a gilded oak leaf wreath topped by an Army eagle and a diving silver eagle in the center. The reverse has a wide pin with an odd safety device just above the catch and rivet construction. The back of the eagle is stamped “800”. The back of the wreath is engraved “Fallschirm – Inf. – Btl. O.Gefr. Knacke”. (02-22505/BF). CONDITION: all items generally show light wear. $600-900.
