Cal. 12 Bore. NSN. Bbl. 42" rnd. w/ 2 facets forward of oct. shank. Skirted brass blade front sight. Breech end of top flat has a No. 1 marking. Probable Belgium mfg. Plain iron lock & bbl. have browned finish. Plain trigger. Pin fastened full length curly maple stock w/ mouldered borders & incised carving along ramrod channel. Engraved brass trigger guard. Other brass fittings include shotgun style buttplate, sideplate, faceted thimble & 2 pipes. Top of wrist has German silver oval nameplate. Artificially striped hardwood ramrod w/ pewter tip. Weight 5 lbs., 12 oz. CONDITION: over 95% lightly faded brown finish. Very good original wood finish shows scattered light marks. Sound mechanics. Clean, bright bore.
