Cal. 308 Win. S# 957. Bbl. 22" lightweight sightless with quarter rib. Bottom of the breech block has an electric pencil-marked matching serial number. Two-piece bbl. hangar. Beaver-tail forearm and steel-capped pistol grip walnut stock with swivel bases and rounded edge solid red pad. Point pattern hand checkering has a wraparound early style on the forearm. Inside of the forearm is marked with a matching number. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: letter from STURM, RUGER & CO., INC., certifying this firearm was a part of the Ruger factory collection. The letter details the following information: "Record Date: May 22, 1967 / Special Features: There is no testfire or rollmark date associated with this rifle. However, the handwritten records state this rifle was shipped to Micro-Sight in California on May 22, 1967. It was subsequently returned to the factory in Southport, CT, and then loaned to William B. Ruger on October 19, 1967, who returned the rifle to the factory some time after that". Includes original brown box with matching yellow label. Box contains a gold Ruger archive tag & instructions.
