1) SPANISH. Overall length: 41”. Blade length: 33 3/4". Plain blade with a single wide fuller. Ricasso is stamped “BALIESTEROS . FCA DE ARMAS . TOLEDO”. The opposite side is stamped “1958 AE”. Steel hilt with semi basket branched guard, plain backstrap and lineal decorated pommel cap. Wire wrapped shark skin grip. Iron scabbard. CONDITION: blade has a light gray overall patina. The hilt and scabbard have a similar light gray patina. Grip shows light wear and wire wrap is complete.
2) TURKISH. Overall length: 37”. Blade length: 30 1/2". Blade has a single fuller and is etched over 1/3 of its length with various patriotic and foliate motifs. Brass hilt with star and crescent on the front languet. Reverse P guard with ears on the backstrap. Birdshead pommel with a lanyard ring at the top. Plated iron scabbard. CONDITION: blade has a light gray patina and etching remains quite clear. Hilt shows light overall wear. Scabbard shows minor spots of oxidation.
3) RUSSIAN. Overall length: 36”. Blade length: 29 7/8”. Plain blade with a single wide fuller. The ricasso is dated 1887 and is marked with a Russian eagle and words in Cyrillic. There are also several arsenal marks on the ricasso as well as the cross guard. Brass hilt with open quillon. Plain knuckle bow and pommel. Diagonally ribbed wooden grip. Brass mounted leather scabbard with Cyrillic markings at the throat. CONDITION: blade has a light gray finish. Hilt has a pleasing mustard patina. Grip shows appropriate wear. Scabbard mounts have a matching mustard patina. Leather body remains quite solid. (02-16433-1/BF). $600-900.
