1) SA DAGGER. Overall length: 14 1/4". Blade is engraved “Alles fur Deutschland” and marked on the reverse “E.P. & S. (logo) SOLINGEN”. Nickel silver crossguard and pommel guard. Wood grip with aluminum eagle and “SA” button. Brown anodized scabbard with nickel silver mounts. CONDITION: blade shows scabbard wear and has pitting near the hilt. Hilt shows light wear, except the “SA” button, which has lost its brown enamel. Scabbard finish is about 50% with oxidation throughout. 2) GERMAN YOUTH KNIFE. Overall length: 10 1/8”. This post-WWII knife closely resembles the well-known HJ knife, but the familiar HJ diamond is replaced by a simple red and white diamond. Blade is marked “(head) OTHELLO SOLINGEN GERMANY” on one side and “G C. CO 420” on the other. Plated crossguard and pommel. Two-piece black composite grips with central red and white diamond on the front. Originally a black painted sheath with leather belt loop and retention strap. CONDITION: blade has a dark patina. Hilt and grips show light overall wear. Sheath has lost nearly all of its finish. Leather is intact. 3) GERMAN YOUTH KNIFE. Overall length: 10 1/8”. This post-WWII knife closely resembles the well-known HJ knife, but the familiar HJ diamond is replaced by a simple red and white diamond. Blade is marked “G C. CO. SOLINGEN GERMANY” on one side and “420” on the other. Plated crossguard & pommel. Two-piece black composite grips with central red and white diamond on the front. White overpainted sheath with black leather belt loop and retention strap. CONDITION: blade has a dark overall patina. Hilt shows light wear. Sheath shows moderate wear. (02-21266/BF). $300-500.
