ORNATE PLIQUE A JOUR. Late 19th century. 1) Engraved cup in deep relief with a central monogrammed cartouche, a medieval armor helmet at the crest. The body with foliate scroll work and a similarly engraved S-scrolled handle. Marked on the underside "Sterling", "2391" as well as 2 indiscernible hallmarks. 2) Ornately filigree plique a jour decorative spoon with rope twist coiled handle. The bowl simulating a floral design leaded glass window with central rosette. Marked at the juncture of handle to bowl is "925" as well as an indiscernible hallmark. 3) Central European reticulated and deep relief foliate carved bowl joined to a yellow enamel handle with gold gilt cartouche. SIZE: Cup: 3" h. Plique a jour spoon: 4 3/4" l. Enameled spoon: 7" l. PROVENANCE: From an Estate in Bar Harbor, Maine. CONDITION: the cup has a very slight dent. Otherwise all are generally very good. (05-276/TG).
