1) HALL BY SIMEON NORTH. Overall length: 18 7/8". A finely finished example of a Hall rifle bayonet by Simeon North. The flat of the blade is heavily stamped, “US / SN”. It is believed that only the first 100 bayonets produced by North received this marking (Reilly, pg. 55 & figure 76F). CONDITION: bayonet shows a dark overall patina w/ no notable pitting.
2) HALL BY SIMEON NORTH. Overall length: 18 7/8". A crudely finished example of a Hall rifle bayonet by Simeon North. Flat of blade is heavily stamped, “US / SN”. It is believed that only the first 100 bayonets produced by North received this marking (Reilly, pg. 55 & figure 76F). Bayonet exhibits crude finishing details at the elbow muzzle joint & near the bridge. The flat of the blade on this example has an old, white painted mark that reads, “REBEL”. CONDITION: bayonet shows a dark overall patina w/ slightly heavier oxidation in scattered spots.
3) HALL BY SIMEON NORTH. Overall length: 18 7/8". A very crudely finished example of a Hall rifle bayonet by Simeon North. Flat of blade is heavily stamped, “US / SN”. It is believed that only the first 100 bayonets produced by North received this marking (Reilly, pg. 55 & figure 76F). Bayonet exhibits nearly unfinished details at the elbow muzzle joint & the bridge appears unfinished. CONDITION: bayonet shows a dark overall patina w/ slightly heavier oxidation in scattered spots & some light pitting.
4) CIVIL WAR. Overall length: 21 1/4". A classic M1855 Civil War bayonet marked, “US” on the blade shoulder. Locking ring intact. CONDITION: bayonet shows overall light oxidation.
5) CADET. Overall length: 17 1/2". A US M1841 cadet bayonet marked “US” on the blade shoulder. CONDITION: dark overall patina w/ scattered heavier oxidation.
6) POST CIVIL WAR. Overall length: 19 1/2". A post Civil War socket bayonet likely for a trap door rifle. CONDITION: dark patina overall w/ scattered heavier oxidation. (02-15714/BF). $1,000-1,500.
