NO. 1: M1A1 Folding Stock. Stock is a field replacement. The pistol grip is walnut & marked on the end w/ very faint "crossed cannons" & two illegible letters. Marked on the grip below the trigger guard "P" proof. Grip has very faint remnants of white painted "56" on left side. Walnut stained birch forend marked "IO" in the lightning cut & marked "AAG" Augusta Arsenal Overhaul mark. Band spring is present. The wire stock & cast buttplate are correct originals. The leather cheekpiece assembly is not present. CONDITION: stock set has good appearance w/ modest wear & small handling marks. Metal parts retain a large degree of original finish. NO. 2: M1 Carbine Walnut Stock Low Wood Oval Cut. Marked "IO" in sling slot. No metal fittings are present. CONDITION: stock has had finish removed, rendering the "crossed cannons" on the right side of the butt only partially visible. Stock has light wear & scattered handling & sanding marks. NO. 3: M1 Carbine Unmarked "pot belly" Walnut Stock. Oval cut low wood. Stock includes buttplate, recoil plate & band spring. CONDITION: stock is in good original condition w/ light wear & handling marks throughout. Metal parts have lightly worn original Parkerized finish.
