1) M1. A good example of a WWII front seam swivel bail helmet with a standard OD finish covered by a faded camouflage helmet cover. Liner is of the correct WWII style, with a full liner and original chinstrap. CONDITION: light wear overall. 2) M1917. A classic “doughboy” helmet with a heavily sanded OD finish. Full original liner with original chinstrap. CONDITION: helmet appears to have had two bullet strikes on the outside of the crown. The liner and chinstrap are a bit dry and show light to moderate wear. 3) PITH. A post-WWII Marine Corps pith helmet covered in tan cotton with a light green underside. The front of the helmet has a subdued EGA in the center. The interior is stamped “INTERNATIONAL HAT CO NO. – 41523 SEPT 8 1948”. The interior of the helmet is also stamped with the owner’s name, “A.D. MURRAY.” The lining band is complete, as is the cotton chinstrap. CONDITION: hat generally shows light wear overall, with some discoloration to the exterior. (02-22477/BF). $200-400.
