1) M1916/17. An example of a German M1916/17 helmet with a black painted finish & a painted national colors shield on the right side. Brown leather 3 pad liner w/ early leather band. No chinstrap. Helmet is stamped on the inner left, "ET64". CONDITION: helmet retains 95% of black painted finish. Liner shows moderate wear.
2) M1916/17. A very nice example of a German M1916/17 helmet with a field green painted finish. Dark brown leather 3 pad liner w/ black leather chinstrap. CONDITION: helmet retains approx. 75% of original finish. Liner shows moderate wear. Chinstrap is likely an old but post WWI replacement.
3) M1916. A fair example of an Austrian M1916 helmet with a gloppy black painted finish. There is a painted national colors shield on the left side. Brown 8 tongue leather liner w/ brown leather chinstrap. CONDITION: helmet retains approx. 85% of black repainted finish. Liner & chinstrap show moderate wear. (02-16443/BF). $700-1,000.
