1) A very interesting WWII German M35 helmet painted black with a single Wehrmacht style eagle decal that definitely shows gold tones. The black paint does seem to be the original color of the helmet as no other layers are below the black. Also, black helmets are known in association with Kriegsmarine land installations which would explain the gold tone decal. The interior rear of the helmet is stamped " 215__" and the interior left is stamped "ET6_". Nice original liner with original chinstrap. CONDITION: finish is better than 90% and the decal shows wear and remains 70% intact. Liner is solid with minor rodent damage. Chinstrap is worn but intact. 2) A definite rarity is the WWI Austrian screened vent helmet. This example is all original and complete sporting a deep field green painted finish There are no stampings visible on the interior of the helmet. The 3-pad liner is complete but worn and the chinstrap is complete but broken at the left side attachment. There is a very early paper label on the inner crown that has the owner's name hand written upon it. CONDITION: the painted finish is about 70%. The liner is a bit stiff and there are a few separations. The chinstrap is reasonably stout but does have a break. Of course, incredibly, both original screens are intact! 3) A good WWII German M1940 battle helmet with a dark gray/green finish and no decals. The interior rear is stamped " Q64 " above " SC79C ", and there is no stamp on the inner left. Complete size 57 liner with the name " Bergmann " written in ink on the left side. Full chinstrap. CONDITION: general light wear with 90%+ finish remaining. Liner and chinstrap show light wear. (02-26620/BF). NON-GUN. $1,500-2,500.
