1) ARMY. A good example of an M40 helmet with embossed air vents. Helmet has an original white winter camouflage painted finish. 8 Tongue leather liner with no chinstrap. Left interior of helmet is stamped, "SE64". Interior rear is stamped, "2504". CONDITION: helmet retains 65% of white camouflage finish. Liner is 70% present and shows heavy wear.
2) ARMY. A nice example of an M40 helmet with embossed air vents. Helmet has original dark gray/green finish and appears to have had camouflage paint applied at one time. There is a single Army decal on the left side. 8 Tongue brown leather liner with black leather chinstrap. Left interior of helmet is stamped, "EF62". Interior rear is stamped, "34338". The owner's name is written in white paint on the interior rear and reads, "Uffz. Erich Beneke". CONDITION: helmet retains a combination of original finish and the residue from camouflage paint. Decal is approx. 80%. Liner and chinstrap are complete and show light to moderate wear.
3) ARMY. An example of an M35 helmet with riveted air vents. Helmet has a repainted gray/green finish that may have been done in the period. Helmet has the ghost of 2 decals that may have been removed prior to repainting or simply painted over. 8 Tongue brown leather liner with no chinstrap. Left interior of helmet is stamped, "SE62". Interior rear is stamped, "4851". CONDITION: helmet retains approx. 90% of its original repainted original finish. Liner is approx. 60% complete. (02-17112/BF). $1,200-1,600.
