1) M1860. A nice example of an M1860 cavalry saber measuring 43" overall with a 34 7/8" plain blade. The blade has a single wide fuller with a secondary fuller near the spine. The ricasso is marked "MANSFIELD & LAMB FORESTDALE R.I." & " U.S. J.C.W. 1864". Brass semi-basket guard with a wire wrapped leather grip. Iron scabbard. CONDITION: blade shows very light staining. Hilt is solid but slightly misshaped and wire/leather is complete, though worn. Scabbard shows some oxidation. 2) M1840. An good example of an M1840 enlisted cavalry saber measuring 43 1/4" overall with a 35 1/4" plain blade. The blade has a single wide fuller with a secondary fuller near the spine. The ricasso is partially and weakly stamped "SHE(BLE & FISHER) PHILADA". Solid brass semi-basket guard with a wire wrapped leather grip. Iron scabbard. CONDITION: blade has moderate staining. Hilt is solid but a bit misshaped. Wire and grip leather show light wear. The scabbard shows oxidation and a few dents. 3) M1860. A nice example of an M1860 style import cavalry saber measuring 44" overall with a 34 5/8" plain blade. The blade has a single wide fuller with a secondary fuller near the spine. The ricasso is marked "HENRY BOKER SOLINGEN". Brass semi-basket guard with a wire wrapped leather grip. Iron scabbard. CONDITION: blade shows light staining. Hilt is quite solid and wire/leather is nearly complete. Scabbard shows heavy oxidation and pitting. 4) M1906. A good example of a M1906 enlisted cavalry saber measuring 43" overall with a 35" plain blade. The blade has a single wide fuller with a secondary fuller near the spine. The ricasso is stamped "A. S. Co. (flaming bomb) 1906" & " U. S J.H.C.". Solid iron semi-basket guard with a wire wrapped leather grip. Iron scabbard. CONDITION: blade has dark patina and the hilt is quite solid. The leather grip is about 80% and the wire is complete. The scabbard shows oxidation and several few dents and a noticeable bend. (02-24439/BF). NON-GUN. $1,200-1,500.
