1) CAVALRY. Overall length: 37". Blade length: 30 5/8". A Japanese type 32 model cavalry saber, first introduced in 1899. The plain blade has a medium, full-length ha and is stamped near the hilt "60304." Sheet iron guard with crosshatching on the grip, as well as the iron backstrap. Iron saya. CONDITION: blade has a pleasing gray finish. Hilt shows light wear overall, as does the saya; however, the bottom 8" of the saya show active oxidation. 2) CAVALRY. Overall length: 36 3/4". Blade length: 30 1/2". A Japanese type 32 model cavalry saber, first introduced in 1899. The plain blade has a medium, full-length ha and is stamped near the hilt "80492." Sheet iron guard with crosshatching on the grip, as well as the iron backstrap. Iron saya. CONDITION: blade has a pleasing gray patina. Grip shows heavy wear with minor losses. The central screw and nut are missing. The saya is missing its throat and shows ample oxidation. 3) ARMY PARADE. Overall length: 35 1/2". Blade length: 29". Blade shows an artificial irregular hamon. Gilded brass hilt with a pierced guard and 10-petal cherry blossom on the backstrap. Wire-wrapped composite grip. Plated iron saya. CONDITION: blade shows original factory polish. Hilt shows light wear. Saya retains nearly all of its original plated finish. 4) ARMY PARADE. Overall length: 34 1/4". Blade length: 29 1/8". Blade shows an artificial irregular hamon. Gilded brass hilt with a pierced guard and 10-petal cherry blossom on the backstrap. Wire-wrapped composite grip. No saya. CONDITION: blade is a bit dirty and has spots of oxidation but also shows original factory polish. Hilt shows light wear overall. (02-22965/BF). $800-1,200.
